Lucas Oliver Lowe

The first picture is after he got his hair washed.  Third time was a charm! He loved it!!  I feel like he is saying, "Check out my stylish "comb-over"!  The next one was his first day of life in the hospital.  This is a mix between ET's cousin and him waving "Hello"!

This is his first day home with his "Yoda".  My mom got her name by my cousin's son who couldn't say Lola.  Needless to say it stuck, especially when we named her grandson Luke.  What a happy duo!  I had to put the next one up because people were saying this was the reason he was a week late.  He was enjoying what was given to him!  This was just three days before he was born.  We walked to the Metro train station and rode it downtown to Olvera Street for a delicious margarita (just a few sips...I promise!) and some spicy food.  I tried EVERYTHING to get him out!

Hey, it's Matt now...can I just say that my wife is my hero?!?!  She was absolutely incredible!  They started inducing her at 9am, gave her the epidural at 1pm, she was dilated to 9.5 cm by 5pm, and Luke was born at 5:51pm on April 12, 2011!  He was 7.14 lbs and 22 inches!  Lindy gave it her best during the contractions...so much so that what usually takes a few hours took her 30 minutes!!!  I got to count and help out, and I saw the whole thing!  WHAT A MIRACLE!!!  I am totally in awe of Lindy.  Not only because of the delivery, but because of her nurturing heart.  Being new parents has it's moments of pushed patience, but all in all, we are having a blast!!!  Truly!  Words can't describe it...which is ironic since I'm blogging about it!
